Information about The Country House
A family-run agriturismo nestled in the Casentino Forest Park. Well-kept apartments, pristine nature, rejuvenating silence, and organic honey produced by Erika’s bees make every stay an authentic experience, amidst Tuscan scents and a sincere welcome.
Always a welcoming home for travelers, years ago we chose to bring this little farmhouse back to life, restoring its magic.
With its natural beauty, outdoor activities, and ideal location, Casentino is the perfect starting point for discovering some of Tuscany’s most fascinating cities.
Nestled in 5 hectares of woodland, with 20 hives we produce high-quality honey: acacia, fir, wildflower, chestnut, heather and strawberry tree.

Places in Casentino
The Casentinesi Forests National Park, now a UNESCO World Heritage Site, covers an area of approximately 36,000 hectares, equally divided between Emilia Romagna and Tuscany, including territories in the provinces of Forlì-Cesena, Arezzo, and Florence.
Podere il Corniolino is located very close (about 5 minutes) to the famous Camaldoli Hermitage, where the ancient pharmacy of the Camaldolese monks is also located. The first healing and pharmaceutical activities date back to 1048.
Poppi Castle is the Casentino’s main monument. Unlike many castles and medieval buildings in the area, it has not been ruined by time or man, having always been used as a residence for local political and administrative power.
Agriturismo Podere il Corniolino is located about a 40-minute drive from the Franciscan Sanctuary of La Verna. This is the most famous of the Casentino monasteries and the true heart of Franciscan worship, renowned for being the place where St. Francis received the stigmata in 1224.
Outdoor activities
For golf enthusiasts, in Poppi—about 10 minutes from Agriturismo Podere il Corniolino—is the renowned Casentinese Golf Club. Its splendid championship course is located on a panoramic hill 500 meters above sea level, offering a panoramic view of the entire Casentino Valley.
The Park, in collaboration with the Italian Alpine Club, has made a wide range of trails available to visitors: over 600 km of trails, 9 nature trails for nature interpretation, and 2 highly accessible trails, accessible even to the blind, wheelchair users, and those with mobility difficulties. A world of excursions through valleys, ridges, forests, and ancient woodlands.
If cycling is your thing, you won’t be disappointed. There are up to 20 MTB itineraries, suitable for both experts and beginners. And if you’re particularly competitive, June is the month of the Casentino Bike, a race included in the Tuscany’s Cup, Scapin Italian MTB Awards, and Appennino Superbike circuits.
A 15-minute drive from Agriturismo Podere il Corniolino is Lake Tripoli, where you can go fishing for individuals or in competitions. The Corsalone River offers swimming in large pools with waterfalls and picnics in the gardens with tables and benches.
